Modernised, opened up, and restructured to support daily life with light, flow, and calm.

The Strategic Intent

This was a home ready for reinvention.

The clients were expecting their first child and needed more space, better flow, and a sense of calm.

We focused on preserving character while enhancing usability.

A custom glass roof and slim sliding doors brought in natural light.

The kitchen layout was redesigned for function and connection.

Bathrooms were upgraded to feel quiet, spacious, and refined.

The result is a house that feels as good as it looks.

It is balanced, warm, and ready to grow with the family.

The Plan

We introduced a cranked steel beam to support the new side return and allow for uninterrupted glazing.

The structural challenges were met with elegant detailing.

Glass meets steel in a seamless plane, allowing light to carry deep into the layout.

Clean materials and quiet colours define each space.

Every change was made to support rhythm, not remove character.

From cornicing to floor transitions, old and new now sit in harmony.

The Create

Natural textures meet modern precision.

Marble wraparound worktops, powder-coated metal details, and pale oak floors define the palette.

Joinery was custom-built to optimise space and soften transitions between zones.

The kitchen extension creates clarity and calm, with views out to the private courtyard.

Bathrooms were given thoughtful touches, including oversized fittings, clean tones, and smart storage.

Crafted, never crowded.

The Deliver

This was one of Elemented’s earliest full house renovations and it set the tone for how we work today.

Our team delivered the full build, including structural engineering, installation of complex glazing junctions, and resolution of neighbour disputes.

A contested 40mm cavity issue was resolved calmly. The wall was rebuilt and the timeline protected.

We handled every detail, every day.

The final glass roof was a turning point. Light arrived and the house came to life.

All work was completed before the baby’s arrival, as promised.

Client experience.

“I can’t praise the team highly enough. I was 11 weeks pregnant when we began, and they handed over the house before the birth.

Over 200 square metres of work, including an extension, all delivered with focus, care, and high standards.

I have such good memories of this build, and total confidence in asking them to return if we ever need more work.

Our home was in good hands.”
